Following recent announcements regarding the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions and the recent publication of the FA guidance documents for restarting football activity during COVID-19, the club has decided to restart training to help with members fitness and wellbeing.
Individual team managers will confirm timings and locations directly with teams for training and training slots should be published on Pitchero for reference which you will be able to access via the website or the App. It is more important than ever for you to confirm or otherwise your child’s attendance so sessions can be planned and managed accordingly.
Training at any time is not compulsory, and we would not like anyone to feel any undue pressure to return to training. You and your child need to decide whether you are comfortable returning and whether it is not placing any undue risk on any other family members who may be in a risk group or currently shielding.
Please be reminded, if an individual is symptomatic, living in a household with possible COVID-19 infection or if you are classified as extremely vulnerable on health grounds, the guidance is that you should remain at home.
Following the FA’s guidance note, the Club has prepared a set of risk assessments and procedures which all coaches will be adhering to (PYC Return to Training Risk Assessments). The Club respectfully requests that all parents or carers read the FA Guidance for Parents and Carers here, so you are all fully aware of the procedures and restrictions the club is putting in place for training. It would be a great help if you would explain these to your child before training resumes, so all participants are aware of the new rules in place.
All documents are on our website here for reference.
Should any members not comply with these new procedures the Club will have no alternative but to suspend them from training until such a time when it is safe for them to return.
The Trustees of the Club will be reviewing all the latest guidance as it is published by the Football Association at both National and Local level and will update our procedures as that guidance changes however, in the meantime, we would like to thank you all for your continued support.
